Our doors are essentially made up of 4 components:<\/p>

  • The pre-frame<\/li>
  • The frame,<\/li>
  • Jointed covers and<\/li>

    \"\"Preframes are usually used to reserve the exact dimensions needed for the door during masonry. They also facilitate the installation and fixing of the door block when it must be held between the walls.<\/p>

    The preframes of MAZANHO BOIS are composed of 3 pieces of wood hardness between 3 and 5.8 (Amouk, Iroko, Movingui, Sappelli, Sipo, Makore, Zingana, ...):<\/p>

    • 2 jambs (vertical)<\/li>
    • 1 traverse (horizontal)<\/li><\/ul>

      The technical requirements for pre-frames are minimal because they do not support significant mechanical forces. A hardness between 3 and 5.8 as indicated in the table of our wood species is more than enough (Amouk, Ayous, Iroko, Movingui, Sapelli, Sipo, Makor\u00e9, Zingana etc. ...). The final choice of the specie to use is very often a function of lead times and market prices.<\/p>

      The 3 pieces constituting the preframe have a thickness generally between 25 and 30 mm. The internal dimensions of the frame are slightly larger than the external dimensions of the door block thanks to a tolerance.
      The standard width of MAZANHO preframes depends on the thickness of the walls:<\/p>

      • 12 cm on the walls with a thickness of 12 cm<\/li>
      • 18 cm on the walls with a thickness of 22 or 23 cm.<\/li><\/ul>

        MAZANHO BOIS pre-frames are not obliged to fit the exact thickness of the walls on which they are applied, because MAZANHO BOIS blocks have a technique for adjusting the width of the splay that adapts to the variation of wall thicknesses.<\/p>

        The external dimensions of the preframe define with a tolerance on the perimeter the dimension of the masonry bay. That is, the mounting clearance of the preframe in the bay is proportional to this tolerance.<\/p>

        Les murs dans la construction du b\u00e2timent peuvent \u00eatre \u00e9lev\u00e9s avec des parpaings d\u2019\u00e9paisseur diff\u00e9rentes. \"\"En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral les parpaings avec des \u00e9paisseurs de 10,15 et 20 cm sont les plus utilis\u00e9s dans les travaux publics. Afin de pr\u00e9parer le mur en parpaing au carrelage ou \u00e0 la peinture, il doit \u00eatre cr\u00e9pi. Le cr\u00e9pissage augmente l\u2019\u00e9paisseur du mur en parpaing. La variation des \u00e9paisseurs du cr\u00e9pi, et indirectement des \u00e9paisseurs du mur, influence \u00e9norm\u00e9ment la pose des portes. Tr\u00e8s souvent les \u00e9paisseurs des murs en ma\u00e7onnerie artisanale ne sont pas constantes non seulement dans diff\u00e9rentes sections du b\u00e2timent, mais aussi sur le pourtour d\u2019une m\u00eame baie de porte.<\/p>

        Technology of MAZANHO doors<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

        \"\"MAZANHO doors consist of a frame and an opening. The opening is connected to the frame with hinges, which form a vertical axis joint. This type of articulation also gives the opening the name of flap or leaf.<\/p>

        The frame consists of two essential elements:<\/p>

        • Splay and<\/li>
        • Joint cover<\/li><\/ul>

          The splay is composed of 2 vertical pieces (uprights) and a horizontal piece (crosspiece) that are placed in the bay of the door.<\/p>

          The joint cover is used to cover the space between the bay and the splay.<\/p>

          Our doors are generally based on the concept of flush doors: that is, the thickness of the leaf is equal to the depth of the foliage in which it is fully closed. This form is technically the most favorable for the manufacture of flame and fire doors (compared to overlay doors).<\/p>

          The concept of MAZANHO door frames is illustrated in the figure below.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

          \"\"The splay is composed of 3 pieces (2 vertical uprights and 1 horizontal crosspiece) with grooves. These grooves perform different functions:<\/p>

          • Adjustment of the exterior frame to compensate for wall thicknesses both vertically and horizontally<\/li>
          • The fitting of the splay mounting tool in the door bay<\/li>
          • The assembly of isophonic seals.<\/li><\/ul>

            The struts of MAZANHO doors have a standardized width of 15 cm. This corresponds roughly to the maximum finished width of walls with 10 cm cinder blocks.<\/p>

            Joint covers<\/strong><\/p>

            The joint-covers covers the connection between the door frame and the masonry bay. We have several types of joint covers depending on the requirements of the door frames (adjustable or not adjustable). These joint covers can be H-shaped or tabbed. The joint covers are H-shaped when the vertical joint cover forms an angle of 90\u00b0 with the horizontal joint-cover. In case this angle is less than 90 \u00b0 we will speak of miter joint covers. Our standard is the H-jointed cover.<\/p>

            Door block<\/strong><\/p>

            The frame or frame, the joined covers and the leaf form the door block. We support you in determining the different dimensions as part of the engineering or taking measurements on site.\"\"<\/p>

            Mounting frames<\/strong><\/p>

            The assembly of the frames of MAZANHO doors does not require the manufacture or installation of pre-frames. The frames can be fixed directly in the bay thanks to sticky polyurethane foams (or with screws and dowels).<\/p>

            The installation is done using a mounting kit. The installation kit attaches to the grooves of the splay and facilitates its positioning while ensuring the right pressure and the same spacing all around the bay during the hardening of the sticky foam.
